About Us

Congress chartered and incorporated the American Legion in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness with a mission to mentor youth, sponsor wholesome programs, advocate patriotism and honor, promote strong national security and continue devotion to service members and veterans.

The American Legion Paschall Post 164 was named in honor of Harold Charles Paschall, the first soldier from Grove City, Ohio, to die during World War I.

This Post operates a Membership Canteen 7 days a week and has a Hall available for rent to the general public. For information about the Post, its Officers, membership and Hall rentals, please visit our website.

The Post is home to a Sons of the American Legion squadron and an Auxiliary squadron. We additionally host the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8198.
