Business Impact Conference
GCACC 2nd Annual Business Impact Conference
Keynote speaker: Carlie Boos Executive Director at Affordable Housing Alliance of Central Ohio
“Regional leaders, developers, and business owners will gather to hear Keynote Speaker Carlie Boos share insights on housing and development,
one of the most important issues shaping the future of our communities and regional economy.”
Previously, Carlie was Community & Economic Development Counsel at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, where she oversaw comprehensive legal, logistical, and financial counsel to organizations that make an impact in Columbus neighborhoods. She also has extensive experience in policy and program development from her time serving at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. At OHFA, she developed the Qualified Allocation Plan, wrote the Ohio and National Housing Trust Fund allocation plans, led issue-specific initiatives for youth housing and assisted living finance, and created the FHAct50 Building Opportunity Fund. She has also directed housing and economic recovery programming, including the Neighborhood Initiative Program and Save the Dream Ohio.
Carlie began her career as a consumer rights and housing attorney and also consulted for The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law's faculty on consumer rights issues. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Women’s Studies and Political Science from the Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
She has authored work for the Journal of Affordable Housing and Community Development Law, What Works from the Federal Reserve Bank, and the American Bar Association. She unwinds at night by baking cakes, listening to her husband play guitar, and making messes with their son… often all at once.
