Advocacy Corner: Corporate Transparency Act – What Small Businesses Need to Know
Small business owners: A new federal reporting requirement is here! Under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), small businesses must now report beneficial ownership information to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). This effort is part of the U.S. Department of Treasury's mission to combat money laundering and financial crimes.
The deadline to file is fast approaching—don’t risk penalties for late or missed filings. Businesses with 20+ full-time employees (working an average of 30+ hours per week in a calendar month) and $5 million in gross receipts are not required to report.
To help you comply, GCACC member and Attorney Chris-John Bosh is hosting a free training session where you can complete the required reporting:
🕗 8:00–8:30 PM (via Zoom)
