Facility Technician III

The Technician III supports preventive maintenance (PM) training and activities, troubleshoots/repairs equipment, and facility related issues, actively participates in team project activities, and provides feedback to support updating facility related procedures. Technician III supports training others on equipment related issues.
 

Reporting Relationships
The Technician III reports to the Area Department Supervisor or Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Mentors and trains technicians
  • Assists on-boarding activities of new Technicians.
  • Ability to lead team projects.
  • Works on assigned equipment and PM related work orders.
  • Provides input and supports PM procedures and department processes.
  • Demonstrates flexibility of schedule when pursuing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.
  • Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
  • Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
  • Other related duties.
 
 
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associated degree or equipment/system related equipment certification preferred.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively with different personnel throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Competent understanding of equipment and systems repair and PM.
  • Ability to document and effectively communicate the work performed.
  • Competent at understanding of tools and test equipment.
    • Competent problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and critical thinking.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Competent at documenting the work performed and equipment status pass downs.
    Physical Requirements
    • May work from settings requiring ladders, lifts, or from the rooftop and other situations requiring exposure to heights.
    • Frequent bending/twisting required.
    • Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.
