Maintenance and Groundskeeping

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the golf course, including mowing, edging, and trimming of greens, fairways, roughs, and other playing areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment storage areas, ensuring tools and machinery are stored properly after use.
• Participate in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems, bunkers, and other course features.
• Monitor and report any course issues, such as damaged turf, tree hazards, or drainage problems, to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow established schedules and guidelines for fertilization, weed control, and pest management, under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent.
• Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
• Uphold a high standard of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of course maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and golf course policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
• Previous experience in golf course maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of turf grasses, irrigation systems, and golf course maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of landscape equipment and machinery.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions and lift/ move heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and schedules.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as per golf course requirements.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
• ?Basic knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a landscaping or golf course environment.
